Spring Trip to the Aviary (2016)

AviaryOn May 4, 2016 Adat Shalom Preschool students in the Three’s and Pre-K classes enjoyed visiting The National Aviary in Pittsburgh. First, preschoolers enjoyed watching an interactive feeding with birds swooping overhead to grab tasty bites.

AviaryNext, the students watched “Nature’s Voice,” a show where students could, “Travel around the world and through time with colorful Flamingos, crafty Burrowing Owls, and the incredible Palm-nut Vulture.”

Following the show, students received a full tour of the Aviary by an Aviary staff member. All students then enjoyed a lunch break outside.

Finally, the preschoolers learned about several types of birds from Mother Nature in an interactive class.
